FIBER-FI is a range of 3 types of synthetic fibre mixtures for reinforcing different types of asphalt. By controlling thermal, reflective and fatigue cracking and fragmentation, FORTA-FI provides immediate cost savings by reducing the required thickness of asphalt or increasing the life of the paved asphalt, or a combination of both. The proprietary mixes contain special aramid and polyolefin fibres with excellent strength, durability and bonding properties.The technology was developed by the US company Forta-Fi.
